Masterclass: The Future News Anchor (Advanced) | 未來新聞主播特訓班 (進階課程) (Age 8-12)

Are you determined to take your anchoring skills and level up into real media-ready performance? This advanced masterclass is designed for high-achieving students ready to transition into real-world media performance. Participants will receive elite training to refine their presence as confident hosts, insightful interviewers, and effective storytellers. 

Working in small groups, children will master the dynamics of both sides of the camera as they rotate roles between interviewer and interviewee, practising advanced questioning techniques and articulating responses in a simulated high-pressure media setting. You’ll also have a chance to meet editors through an exclusive sharing session to learn how news stories are selected, produced, and communicated in a professional newsroom.

**Important Notice for Enrolment** 

Step 1: If you are interested in enrolling in this class, please click "add to cart" and complete a $8 payment to submit. SCMP team will email you with details of Placement Test (Step 2).

Step 2: Placement Test Requirement: Students must complete a placement assessment to ensure they meet the skill level required for this advanced course. Submissions must be uploaded via the designated Google Form received after registration. Applicants will be notified of the results via email within 7 working days.

In the Placement Test, students should complete:

- 1 Writing Assessment (100–200 words in English; choose 1 from designated 3 topics)

- 1 Speaking Assessment (audio or video recording)

Step 3: Successful applicants will receive a dedicated payment link to process the remaining course fee; with the early bird discount applied where eligible. Unsuccessful applicants will receive a refund to their payment method within 30 days.

• A Conversation with SCMP Posties Editorial: Join a sharing session with a SCMP editor to learn how stories are selected, produced, and communicated. 
• Role-Play Interview Practice (Advanced Feature): Practise hosting conversations, conducting interviews, and engaging with guests using a professional broadcast discussion format.
• Media Literacy, News Perspectives & Storytelling: Learn how journalists verify information, fact-check, and recognise misinformation and ethical content creation.
• Storytelling on Camera: Practise asking thoughtful questions, analysing perspectives, and communicating ideas clearly, then turning insights into compelling narratives in front of the camera.
• SCMP Studio Experience: Students produce a studio-recorded interview in the SCMP studio to showcase hosting, interviewing, and presentation skills.

學生將於小組中進行角色轉換，體驗主持人與受訪者的不同角度，練習更具深度的提問與回應，並在模擬媒體情境中提升臨場表現與表達能力。同時，透過與編輯的交流，了解新聞選材、製作及如何被呈現，進一步認識媒體運作。

課程將於南華早報專業錄影室進行，學生將完成錄影訪談作品，展示其主持及訪問能力，為學習成果留下具代表性的作品。

**重要事項**

第二步：能力測試
學生必須完成分班評估，以確保其能力符合此進階課程的要求。學生須於報名後收到的指定 Google Form 上載測試內容。申請者將於 7個工作天內獲得電郵通知結果。

測試內容包括：
- 一份寫作評估（以英文撰寫 100–200 字；從指定 3 條題目中選擇 1 條）
- 一份口語評估（音訊或影片錄音）

第三步：
成功申請者將收到專屬付款連結，以繳付餘下課程費用；早鳥優惠將自動套用到符合資格的訂單。未獲取錄之申請者，其已支付款項將於 30 天內退回原付款方式。
