Little Journalist: Exploring the World with Posties | Posties新聞小探員 (Age 6-9)

Spark your child’s curiosity this summer with “Little Journalist: Exploring the World with Posties”, a fun and engaging programme designed for young learners aged 6–9. Through hands-on activities and guided storytelling, students will be introduced to the basics of journalism while exploring the world around them.

From simple interviews and creative writing to photo storytelling, children will learn how to observe, ask questions and express their ideas with growing confidence. Throughout the course, they will work towards creating their very own Posties newspaper, turning their thoughts and discoveries into a meaningful final project to bring home and share.

With new elements including real interview practice and guided photo-taking sessions, this updated programme offers a richer and more interactive experience, helping young learners take their first steps into storytelling and communication.

Programme Highlights

• Create Your Own Posties Newspaper: Develop a 4-page DIY Posties newspaper, including a cover page and themed sections, to showcase children’s creativity, ideas and storytelling.
• Photo Storytelling (New): Take part in a guided photo-taking session and explore how images support storytelling in news reporting.
• Real Interview Experience (New): Interview a guest and learn how to prepare thoughtful questions, listen actively and turn insights into a story.
• Learn with SCMP’s publications: Teaching materials incorporate SCMP’s publications, connecting classroom learning with real-world exposure.
• Fun Introduction to Journalism: Discover how to tell stories, report simple news and try interviews through fun, hands-on activities.
