About Our Winter Programme 2026

Get ready for a festive season of discovery and creativity with SCMP Learn Winter Programme 2026! Designed for children aged 6–12, our courses bring the world of news and media to life with a special festive twist. From presenting holiday-inspired news on camera to uncovering exciting stories as young journalists and interviewing special festive guests, children will explore new skills, express their ideas and grow in confidence through fun, hands-on experiences.

Leveraging over 120 years of editorial excellence as Hong Kong’s trusted English news source, our programmes use proprietary content to immerse students in the world of storytelling. They will master the critical thinking and presentation skills essential for navigating and leading in an ever-evolving global landscape.

Here, journalism meets education for a fun-filled experience that offers your child the ultimate opportunity to develop essential future-ready skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Why Us?

Founded in 1903, SCMP has been the region’s most trusted source of English language news for over 100 years. Now we’re bringing that journalistic expertise directly to the next generation.

What sets us apart is our unique approach to education: we don't just teach skills, we immerse young minds in the dynamic world of journalism where critical thinking, effective communication and leadership naturally flourish.

Our curriculum has been meticulously crafted by education specialists working alongside seasoned journalists. Unlike traditional academic programs, the SCMP Learn Summer Programme provides real-world context for learning, helping students see immediate applications for their newfound abilities.

Parents consistently tell us their children return home not just with new skills, but with a transformed sense of confidence and purpose – the SCMP difference that has built generations of informed citizens and thoughtful leaders.
