Little Journalist: Exploring the World with Posties | Posties新聞小探員 (Age 9-12)

Designed for curious and expressive learners aged 9–12, “Little Journalist: Exploring the World with Posties” introduces children to the foundations of journalism through real-world exploration and creative expression.

Through structured activities including interviews, reporting exercises and photo storytelling, students will develop stronger observation skills, critical thinking and confidence in sharing their perspectives. They will learn how journalists gather information, ask meaningful questions and turn their insights into engaging stories.

Building on a curated Posties newspaper, children will bring together their learning into a final project that reflects their ideas and voice. With enhanced features such as real interview opportunities and photo storytelling, the programme provides a more immersive experience that connects classroom learning with the real world.

Programme Highlights

• Create Your Own Posties Newspaper: Develop a 4-page DIY Posties newspaper, including a cover page and themed sections, to showcase children’s creativity, ideas and storytelling.
• Photo Storytelling (New): Take part in a guided photo-taking session and explore how images support storytelling in news reporting.
• Real Interview Experience (New): Interview a guest and learn how to prepare thoughtful questions, listen actively and turn insights into a story.
• Learn with SCMP’s publications: Teaching materials incorporate SCMP’s publications, connecting classroom learning with real-world exposure.
• Explore Journalism Through Real-World Activities: Learn how to observe, research and report through structured storytelling and reporting exercises.
