Become a Junior News Anchor | 新聞小主播大作戰 (Age 6-8)

Give your kid a wonderful opportunity to experience being a news anchor with our "Become a Junior News Anchor" programme! Specially designed for kids aged 6-8, this engaging five-day course allows kids to explore the exciting world of news broadcasting.

Through enjoyable activities, group projects, and hands-on practice, your kid will develop engaging English presentation skills. They will also make new friends, learn about teamwork, and express their ideas in a supportive environment. 

The course concludes with a special news anchor presentation at our professional SCMP studio, where they can present a news story and showcase what they have learnt from the course. Plus, you will receive a video recording of your kid's news anchoring performance to share with family and friends.

Programme Highlights

• Professional studio experience: Students will get hands-on experience in the SCMP studio, learning how a real broadcasting environment operates and receive their very own news anchoring video.
• Creative group projects: Students will collaborate in small groups to brainstorm and develop their unique news presentations.
• Skill development: Focus on essential skills such as English presentation skills, teamwork, and script writing, tailored for young learners.
• Interactive games: Fun warm-up games designed to build confidence and foster friendships among students.
• Expert guidance: Instruction from experienced instructors who specialise in children's media and journalism.
• Learn with SCMP’s publications: Teaching materials incorporate SCMP’s publications, connecting classroom learning with real-world issues.
• Chance to Get Published: Students’ videos will have a chance to be published on SCMP Posties’ channels.

*Students will receive a certificate issued by SCMP upon course completion.
